Edinburgh Airport and Regulation (EC) No 261/2004

The Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 is a European regulation enacted in 2004. It aimed to establish a set of rights for air passengers. These rights came withobligations for airlines.

The United Kingdom was subject to this regulation at the time. However, since Brexit, it no longer applies.

Nonetheless, there is a UK national equivalent, the UK261 regulation. This ensures you have equivalent rights. So, if you are at Edinburgh Airport, regardless of your destination or airline, you are protected.

Which flights are covered at Edinburgh Airport?

Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 applies to:
