Delayed is a French company. Under European Regulation EC 261/2004, we process compensation payments in euros (€).
With service fees amounting to 25% of your lump-sum compensation for any canceled, delayed, or overbooked flight within the last 3 years, Delayed ranks among the most competitive players in the air disruption compensation market. Beyond being financially attractive for you, our services also promise a real time-saving and a true simplification of your administrative procedures.
Our services are synonymous with reliability and speed. However, the response from airlines can vary between 1 and 3 months once your claim is submitted. Upon receipt of the compensation from the airline, we will send you an email allowing you to provide us with your bank details.
Delayed retains a fixed commission of 25%, including applicable VAT, if your compensation claim is successful. Once your compensation claim is handled by our team and approved by your airline, you will receive your lump-sum compensation, up to €600, minus our service fees. Our fees are waived if your claim is declined by your airline.
The IBAN number (International Bank Account Number) is used to identify a bank account. The number of characters varies between 14 and 34 depending on the country. A French IBAN consists of 27 characters and is structured as follows:
On the other hand, the BIC number (Bank Identifier Code) is used to identify and locate a bank institution nationally or internationally. It is also known as the SWIFT code (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), referring to the international organization that manages BIC registration. A BIC number contains 8 to 11 characters composed of numbers and/or letters and is structured as follows:
Your IBAN and BIC numbers are indicated on your bank identity statement (RIB). This is available on your bank's digital customer space and on your checkbook. You can also contact your advisor to obtain this information.
If your compensation claim requires legal action, our team will need to incur legal expenses and pay court fees on your behalf. In the event of a positive outcome of the legal action, we will seek reimbursement of the legal expenses and court fees from your airline through the court. In the event of a negative outcome, the legal expenses incurred by the airline will be covered by us.
The legal expenses and court fees incurred by legal action result in a 15% increase in our fees on your invoice if compensation is obtained. In other words, our service fees increase from 25% to 40% in the event of a positive legal action. However, we reserve the right to charge you for all legal fees if you have canceled your compensation assistance request with Delayed after the start of the legal proceedings.
Our services are designed so that you do not have to pay anything out of pocket before your compensation claim is validated. Thus, our fees are only charged if we obtain compensation for your canceled, delayed, or overbooked flight.
We cover the legal costs associated with your compensation claim. Our service fees cover all stages of the compensation claim process, from communications with your airline to pursuing legal action if necessary, as well as the support provided by our team throughout the process.
For security reasons, we unfortunately cannot allow you to provide us with a third party's bank details for the transfer of your lump-sum compensation. Data protection legislation requires us to transfer the recovered funds only to the person identified as the claimant in the case.
This error usually occurs when the BIC number contains the wrong bank code. Feel free to contact your bank to obtain the correct SWIFT code and continue your compensation claim on our site.
